We have customers that save $$. Time and time again, we’ve been known to offer more for the money our customers put down. Part of it has to do with the efficient business processes, but a large part of it also has to do with our infrastructure.

Take Customer ABC for example (name changed to maintain privacy). This customer regularly performs demos of their system and would’ve ideally needed to setup their own server to do so. Having a separate server can cost up to $60/month. That’s a total cost of about $700/year. When you sign up as our customer, we provide you with the following services:

Free Demo Hosting while you are our customer

Free Staged Hosting to review daily development activity to obtain immediate feedback. Our developers post updates daily.

Free Source Control Integration with Mercurial. Not using SVN itself provides savings of thousands of dollars that would’ve otherwise been wasted on managing source control. Companies that use Mercurial or other distributed Source Control systems function way better than companies that use obsolete source control systems like SVN. However, that is not all. We add the icing to the cake by making our source control accessible completely via a Web Application. This means customers who are interested can literally go to a URL and watch complete source control activity within the system.

Free Project Management/Trouble Ticketing System – We use FogBugz for our project management and trouble ticketing system. This system has saved us the grief of sorting through endless Feature requests, Bug fixes etc that would’ve otherwise come via email. Let’s face it, Email is abused as it is, do we really want to communicate important features for your next release via email? Nope. So we provide you with a system that is trusted by the likes of Apple and BMW to name a few. And guess what? It is completely free of cost when you use our services.

Free 3rd party accounts until you go live – We usually have access to a whole wide variety of 3rd party accounts. These are available for you to use until we go live. Should we see the need for you to procure an account before we go live, we’ll clearly communicate the same with you.

All in all, we strive to offer you the fastest and the best possible way for your products to get to market. That we have continuously beat our competitors in the value we provide for the dollar you pay is a different story altogether. I’ll save it for another post.

Drop me a line at anup@hypertrends.com if you’re interested in talking with me.

HyperTrends Global Inc. attended the ThinkBig Seminar hosted in Kansas City, MO. Founder and Principal Anup Marwadi is a Univ. of Missouri – Kansas City graduate and a big fan of the Kansas City tech scene.

The event organized by Herb Sih was a perfect opportunity to meet and network with entrepreneurs who are committed to pushing forward the Kansas City Tech Scene. This years keynote address was by Bill Rancic (of the Apprentice fame). He gave some very interesting insights into an entrepreneurs mind and also entertained the audience with his story and provided some excellent feedback to young entrepreneurs.

HyperTrends was there to meet and greet some of the most dynamic entrepreneurs of the greater Kansas City and Midwest area.
We at HyperTrends strongly believe that some of the best business successes involve collaboration and never miss an opportunity to do the same.

Are you from Kansas City? Are you an entrepreneur? If yes, do not hesitate to contact us! Follow us on twitter @hypertrends

If you haven’t checked in lately, there is a lot of exciting stuff going on in the tech industry. Companies like Google, Apple and Microsoft are now fighting neck to neck to make the most of this consumer market space that has opened up since the Web2.0 success.

Phone Market

Apple rules the phone market with its yet-to-be-defeated iPhone 3yrs+ after its original release. Many have come and gone, but the iPhone still rules the market (well RIM does, but you know what I mean). I see the Windows Phone 7 as a great competitor to the iPhone for 2 primary reasons: the ease of use, and the developer space. We’re very excited to develop applications for the smart phone market. We’re now investing much of our resources in app development for both the phone and the new iPad.

Web Development

We have also completely transformed our development team to use ASP.NET MVC for all of our web development for new projects. This in my opinion is a significant step forward for our company. We have long been challenged by classic ASP.NET and fluid AJAX. We have had to invest a lot of time in making things work the way they should work using classic ASP.NET. jQuery and MVC allows us to do the same in a matter of minutes. The pages are completely XHTML compliant, and moreover, our design to implementation process is now very streamlined.

Rich Internet Applications

We have developed a couple of enterprise Silverlight applications that we will be writing about soon. Silverlight is the wave of the future. Companies like Seesmic already see a tremendous advantage of using WPF and Silverlight for their applications. The end result is pure excellence.

Web Design

Our designers have now gotten top-notch and some of our new products on our portfolio will soon be a testimony of that.

More Success for our customers

Overall, we have made tremendous progress as a company and as a result have contributed to much success for our customers.

I invite you all to go through our portfolio, ask questions and provide us with valuable feedback to make our vision of creating kick ass software products a reality.

At HyperTrends, we have a very flexible Offshore business model that allows us to combine the best of both worlds by providing our customers with an On-site project manager/Software Lead and an Offshore team that works with him.
Here is a presentation we made to talk about our Outsourcing Expertise. We intend to follow this up with case studies clearly explaining how difficult situations like stringent timelines, project budgets allowed us to mold the process accordingly still producing results and not only meeting, but exceeding the expectations of our customers.
